2011 - Ralph Mooney, steel guitarist, one of the creators of the Bakersfield sound and session musician on many recordings by Capitol Records artists Buck Owens, Wanda Jackson, Merle Haggard and Wynn Stewart, died of complications of cancer at his home in Kennedale, Texas at age 82.
