1947 - The Benny Goodman Sextet (Benny Goodman on clarinet, Red Norvo on vibraphone, Mel Powell on piano, Al Hendrickson on guitar, Art Shapiro on bass, and Louis Bellson on drums) record the title "Nagasaki" at Radio Recorders' studios at 932 North Western Avenue in Hollywood, California.
